                              Waverly Orchestra Program

                              WELCOME...

to the Waverly Orchestra Website.  Part of the Waverly Community School District, we are an enthusiastic community of music learners who are dedicated to musical excellence.  The Waverly Orchestra program aims to help students become independent and lifelong learners of music by offering a curriculum that is both challenging and relevant.

                              In our program, students:
                              • Develop their musical and technical skills on their instrument.
                              • Develop a deeper understanding of music through performance and practice.
                              • Learn how to express themselves creatively building on skills they have learned.
                              • Develop lifelong skills, such as personal discipline, goal setting (both group and individual), professionalism, and respect for self and others through this medium.

"Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited."
